In this picture, it can be seen that Stalin was well liked and respected by the peasants as they were giving him flowers to show their love for him. The peasants were all smiling happily upon seeing Stalin. Perhaps this picture was not real and was used to let the peasants believe that Stalin was the one that can make them happy and bring peace to the country after he took over Lenin’s position. But if the picture is true, why would the peasants like him even after he caused so many people’s deaths? I think the peasants might not have seen the other side of him.

The truth is that Stalin was somebody that wants power and could do anything just for it. Stalin acted like he was very close to Lenin but in actual, we all knew that he was just doing a ‘show’ for the people to see. Trotsky was the one that should take over Lenin’s position. Stalin was sly and smart to obtain the position of General Secretary using ‘helps’ from other members. He killed many of the people because of simple reasons. How can he bring peace to the country when he does these cruel acts? Why would the peasants believe in such a fake person? Why would they even like or love him?
